In 2019, millennials had forgotten the happiness Krispy Kreme could bring to their lives. To remind them of their once favourite treat, we created 4 childhood favourite doughnut flavours, and celebrated with the launch of Krispy Kreme Throwback Arcade. This tapped into 90’s gaming culture and turned Instagram into a world-first virtual arcade, complete with 4 mini games inspired by a console classic with retro graphics and gameplay, with each player battling it out to win a year’s supply of doughnuts. Throwback Party was the most successful new product launch for Krispy Kreme Australia ever.
